Personnel’s from the Ghana National Fire Service in Donkorkrom took various Premix fuel operators in the landing beaches in the district through some basic fire safety training to arm them against fire outbreaks in their line of duty. This exercise was done in collaboration with The National Premix Fuel Secretariat
The training took place at the Kwahu Afram Plains South District Assembly-Tease and participants were taken through various fire related topics like;
1. fire safety precautionary measures 2. causes of fire, and 3. classes of fires, with much emphasis on class B fires since that is the class of fire most likely to occur in their field of operation. 4. modes of extinction and types and uses of the fire extinguisher.
Participants were also taken through procedures on how to extinguish fires at the incipient stage using a fire blanket and fire extinguisher.
