Smart Lab and E-Library Commissioned by Kabaka Foundation at St. Peter’s SHS in the Eastern Region

The Founder of Kabaka Foundation, a non-profit organization who also doubles as development chief (Nkosuohene) of Kwahu Nkwatia, Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) has commissioned an ultra-modern Smart Laboratory and E-Library for  St. Peter’s Senior High School in Kwahu in the Eastern region.

The unveiling of the facilities was done at the sideline of the climax of the 65th anniversary of ST. Peter’s Senior High School this year on the theme “Education 4.0 an Imperative for Industry 4.0 and the Future Work”.

Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) delivered a speech as the guest of honor for the expressed optimism that the facilities will provide students with the requisite knowledge that will prepare them for the digital and industrial market.

“Let us all act in the glory of all that we have achieved so far and deliberate on ways to position ourselves to continue to build a great pedestal we currently hold in the coming years, the world is changing faster than we realized and education is at the forefront of our country, therefore, we need to prepare the next generation to fit into this technological world, so I will implore all of us to contribute our quota to support the education of our children”

The Executive Director of Kabaka Foundation  Dr. Henry Larbi  “it is in line with Nana Owiredu Wadie’s development agenda through the Kabaka Foundation, he is bringing development to Kwahu Nkwatia and he is being assigned as the board chairman of ST. Peter’s Senior High School, he was asked to help provide a smart lab for the school and he took it upon himself and accepted that he will do it as we sit here today he has been able to commission one smart lab, and one e-library, the total cost of that is 52,000 dollars just for the provision of the ICT equipment and also the human resources training for the teachers who are going to use the project”.

“However for the cost of the civil work that has been done so far provision of furniture, air-conditioning, and everything, it amounts to around Ghc 200,000 just to set the place up. We are now in the industrial revolution whereby there is a new way to use artificial intelligence and to use robotics in solving the problem in developing countries and economies so these students are going to have access to this artificial intelligence, robotics, and other things that they will need for the future because now we don’t only need just a public servant to just sit down but students need to be innovative so this is the best opportunity for them to be innovative” he said.

Dr. Henry Larbi further stated that Kabaka Foundation led by Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) will continue to mobilize resources to support the construction of an assembly hall in the days ahead.

The Unveiling of the plaque by Nana Owiredu Wadie (I) was accompanied by Nana Ofori Mireku (I) who represented Kwahumanhene, Nana Boamah Ayirepa (III) Kwahu Nkwatiahene, Nana Kwaku Boateng (III) New Juaben Manhene, Koforidua Catholic Bishop, the headmaster of ST. Peter’s SHS and many other personalities.
