Three (3) students of University of Education ,Winneba have been confirmed dead whilst about 30 are injured in a fatal crash on Akuapem -Apirede to Somanya road in Eastern region.
The injured are on admission at the Yilo Krobo municipal Hospital located near the accident scene.
The students were en route to the Volta region for excursion at Mountain Afadzato.
The driver of the University’s bus reportedly failed brake hence the crash.
The Apirede to Somanya road is accident prone. It is Very sloppy with sharp curves.
Students,Police ,mourners,traders have been involved in fatal crashes on the road.
Sadly ,not a single road warning sign has been erected on the road by Ghana HighwayAuthority .
Well , If a driver is not familiar with the road please don’t allow him to use it.
-If the brakes of the vehicle is not in good condition,avoid that road.
-Inexperienced drivers must avoid the road as well.
