An old man has been found dead in a gutter near the Consolidated Bank of Ghana (CBG) branch in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional Capital.

The deceased whose name is yet to be identified as a cleaner at the public lavatory at the Tema station near the CBG office.

He was believed to be in his 70s.

He was found dead Tuesday morning but the body remained in the gutter till the afternoon before the municipal environmental officers went to take the body and deposited it at the morgue.

“I’m told he died this dawn in a gutter close to CBG and was picked up by the new juaben Municipal Council. He is around the ages of 70 to 80.  He was a cleaner at a lavatory based at the Tema station and hails from Betom.

According to a witness, nothing shows that he was killed by somebody, looking at his age and health conditions they think it a natural death” Stephen Ansah a freelance journalist said.
